ABOUT THE INITIATIVE

Remembering the spirit of Vande Mataram

The great litterateur Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay composed Vande Mataram 150 years ago. The 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram symbolises India's national consciousness, the struggle for freedom, cultural pride, and the nation's unwavering devotion to the motherland.

It has been decided to celebrate this historic occasion in schools through a Mass Singing Programme of the Complete “Vande Mataram” .

Vidya Bharati Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Sansthan

A movement dedicated to value-based education rooted in Bharatiya culture and traditions.

GUIDELINES

Namami Bharatam (150th Year of Vande Mataram) – Programme Guidelines

One Date, One Time, One Voice

The complete Vande Mataram should be sung collectively in one voice.

Maximum Participation

Maximum participation should be ensured.

Discipline & Formation

Participants should stand in rows or in a circular formation according to the venue, maintaining discipline and order.

Video Recording Mandatory

Video recording is mandatory. Attendance/documentation should also be maintained through photographs and, where necessary, aerial/drone or high-angle photographs showing the collective gathering.

Clear Photo Evidence

Photographs should clearly display the number of participants, name of the school, venue and time of the programme.

Certified Attendance

A participant attendance list should be prepared and duly certified by the Principal/Head of the Institution and safely preserved.

Post-Programme Submission

After the programme, photographs, videos, participant numbers and a brief report should be sent to the concerned Coordination Centre in the prescribed format.
